Hi, my name is Cheun Yin

Hello, my name is Cheun Yin Zhang. Currently I am a junior front-end developer at Monks, a digital advertising and production company based in Hilversum, the Netherlands.

In 2024 I graduated from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam with a Bachelor in Communication and Multimedia Design. This 4-year study focused on different aspects of digital products such as UI/UX, visual design, UX research, and front-end development. In the second year I decided to specialize in front-end development. In my final year I did my graduation project at Monks where I worked on an internal tool to improve their knowledge sharing. For this tool I had to do researching, design, and development.

After my graduation I was offered a position there, where I am currently working. Here I get to work on various projects for different clients, primarily using Next.js with SCSS modules. I've also worked with headless CMSs such as Contentful, creating components there and connecting their data to our front-end templates.
